Training and Prevention Coordinator

Kids FIRST is nonprofit dedicated to providing comprehensive intervention and treatment services to child victims of abuse and their non-offending family members. We're seeking a Training and Prevention Coordinator, a new position, to spearhead the planning, coordination, and execution of professional training programs for our staff and multidisciplinary team members. Additionally, the Coordinator will both promote and facilitate Darkness to Light Stewards of Children training, an evidence-based child sexual abuse prevention curriculum, in the community. RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:

  • Training Coordination: Coordinate logistics and schedules for training events, ensuring seamless execution and participation from relevant teams.
  • Collaboration with Departments: Collaborate closely with department heads to identify specific training needs and tailor programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of staff and multidisciplinary team members.
  • Evaluation and Improvement: Assess the effectiveness of training sessions, gather feedback, and incorporate insights to continually enhance and refine training programs.
  • Community Engagement and Outreach: Create quality content and materials to share community training opportunities; participate in local events.
  • Data Collection and Reporting: Implement data collection procedures to track, report, and analyze training outcomes.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Education, Social Work, or a related field and 3+ years of experience in planning, coordinating, and executing professional training sessions, preferably in child welfare or related fields. A combination of education and experience may be qualifying.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in managing training logistics and resources.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage and motivate diverse audiences effectively.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
