Intake Specialist
Kids FIRST is seeking an Intake Specialist to join our child abuse intervention team! As the first point of contact with families and community partners, the Intake Specialist is essential to ensuring a warm reception for these and other groups. Scheduling, data entry, and other administrative duties are additional priorities of this position. You'll work in partnership with medical examiners, interviewers, victim advocates and local investigative agencies. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBLITIES: Include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Upload pertinent case documents and enter demographic, case, and community partner information into the data management and case management system.
- Prepare caregivers for the assessment process, what to expect and how to prepare their child.
- Gather appropriate documentation and information from parents/caregivers, law enforcement agencies, Department of Human Services and other parties needed to coordinate services
- Manage Crime Victims Compensation applications
- Work within a Multidisciplinary Team comprised of representatives from Law Enforcement, Lane County District Attorney's Office, Department of Human Services, the Department of Justice and other partner agencies who work to collaboratively manage and prevent cases of child maltreatment
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience in a social service or medical office preferred.
Ability to:

- Learn and apply specific rules, policies, and procedures
- Independently set up and maintain records and complex files with a high level of accuracy. Assemble and compile data.
- Prioritize, multi-task and demonstrate effective time-management
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders.
- Communicate in a compassionate, unbiased, trauma-informed manner.
- Maintain confidentiality and a professional demeanor when dealing with others.
